Dr. Javeria Maryam is a trade policy expert with nearly five years of experience in international trade research and analysis. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics, focusing on India's trade and investment relations with BRICS nations, and a second master’s degree from Erasmus University Rotterdam and the University of Hamburg. Her research, published in leading journals, provides valuable insights into global trade dynamics and regional cooperation.
Dr. Maryam has held key roles, including Senior Project Consultant at EY India, where she supported India’s G20 Presidency in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance. She has also contributed to the Centre for WTO Studies, IIFT, and KPMG Advisory Services, focusing on trade development and policy analysis to enhance India’s trade ecosystem. Her expertise lies in examining trade policy within the broader context of geopolitics and its impact on developing countries.
