María Belén Gracia
Belén is an international trade law and policy expert, with ten years of professional experience in legal, regulatory and public policy aspects of international trade. Currently, Belén is a PhD Candidate at Maastricht University, Faculty of Law. Her research explores the intersection between international law and the circular economy in plastics, with a focus in developing countries. Belén holds a master's degree in Globalization and Law with specialization in international trade and investment law from Maastricht University, a master’s degree in Law and Economics from Torcuato Di Tella University (Argentina) and a Law degree from University of Buenos Aires (Argentina). She has offered independent consultancy services to international organizations, financial institutions, governments, NGOs and private enterprises. She was Director of Trade Policy with MERCOSUR and ALADI at the Argentine National Ministry of Production, and trade negotiator for the government of Argentina.
