Hildegunn Kyvik Nordås
Hildegunn Kyvik Nordås is Visiting Professor at Örebro University in Sweden, a Senior Associate with the Council on Economic Policies (CEP) in Switzerland and a part-time research professor at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI).
Prior to that she was leading the OECD’s work on developing the Services Trade Restrictiveness Indices, a composite indicator of services trade policies, and related analytical work. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Bergen, Norway. Her research interest is the digital transformation of the services industries, including the adoption of artificial intelligence, and services trade; areas where she has published extensively.

The internet is a global public good that we can no longer take for granted. Recent years have witnessed escalating constraints on cross-border data transfers - undermining the integrity of the internet itself, and threatening the global digital transformation. The WTO has a critical role to play to keep markets open, particularly to the benefit of MSMEs firms in developing countries. MC13 can contribute to this goal.
